Antarctica: entropy and fragility Brunswick Street Gallery 2014
This exhibition presents a series of mixed media works exploring thematic links across the palimpsest of Australia and Antarctica: landmasses which were once part of the supercontinent Gondwana. The project generates awareness of the vast geological and geographical environment of Antarctica, its entropy and fragility, and of our connection to it. It includes paintings on glass, mixed media works and digital prints arising from aerial photography of East Antarctica, the Antarctic Convergence, the Balleny Islands, the Transantarctic Ranges and the Ross Sea.
